FTW Cast: Scrimmage No. 2 Breakdown

Jake Weinstock, Jimmy Ordeneaux, and Tim Scandurro got together during the latter stages of Saturday's scrimmage to chat about what they've observed, and where things stand, two weeks from the season opener:

• Overall, the presumed starters took very few reps on Saturday, as many younger players got some extended opportunities. However, there is obviously signal in who was mostly held out.

• Jake Retzlaff is capitalizing on the extra reps, following Brendan Sullivan's injury, and may have overtaken Kadin Semonza in the battle for the starting quarterback position.

• E'zaiah Shine and TJ Smith continue to push Jayden Lewis and Javion White at field corner and slot corner, respectively. Those position battles are too close to call.

• Justyn Reid, Anthony Miller, and Johnny Pascuzzi are going to see the majority of the snaps at tight end, to start the season.
