Tulane Football's 2026 Transfer Portal Class

While the transfer portal (January 2-16, 2026) is closed, all roster movement has not officially ended. Remember, a student-athlete did not need to enroll at a new institution by January 16, they merely needed to enter the portal. As the add/drop deadline at Tulane University is a few days away, there is still the possibility of another player or two transferring in. For now, however, we want to recap Tulane's entire incoming class of twenty (20) transfers.

Before I do that, however, I think it's important to note that figure of twenty is low relative to the Green Wave's peers within the American Conference, as many of them lost a significantly higher number of players in the portal. Per 247 Sports, North Texas added 44 players in the portal, USF added 35, and Memphis added 35. In other words, despite experiencing a coaching change, just like those other three schools who finished near the top of the American Conference standings, Tulane was able to add a full high school signing class and retain a very strong percentage of the 2025 roster.

Without further ado, here are the twenty additions, thus far. I have included what their 2026 class will be, so for example a player who was a redshirt freshman during 2025 will be listed below as a redshirt sophomore, as that reflects his status for the upcoming 2026 season.

(7) Bredell Richardson, Wide Receiver, Redshirt Sophomore, 6'1", 190 pounds from UCF

(8) Dawson Johnson, Tight End, Redshirt Freshman, 6'3", 230 pounds from Old Dominion

(9) Vance Bolyard, Tight End, Redshirt Sophomore, 6'5" 240 pounds from Duke
