An Important Message for FTW Subscribers, from Jimmy Ordeneaux

To our wonderful subscribers:

A huge Roll Wave and thanks to all of you for joining the Fear the Wave Collective as subscribing members. It is impossible to do what are able to do for the program without your support.

I am writing today in gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of support that we have received since launching this site in August. We are now up to 179 subscribing members in just two short months. That is incredible growth. I hope that all of you are enjoying the content from our volunteers. Jake has done a tremendous job putting together regular installments that I hope have become routine parts of your game preparation each week. I personally look forward most to Tim Scandurro’s weekly columns the most. While it may be no surprise given that he is a tremendous trial lawyer, his words each week take me back to a time in my youth when I would read the national syndicated columnists in the Sunday paper, except I think Tim is better than most of those guys! He has a wonderful gift, and I love that he is willing to share it with all of us.

We appreciate everyone’s patience with our growth. As you well know, we are still volunteer-run. That may ultimately change as college football evolves, but right now it is a labor of love and sometimes we fall short of everything that we would like to do. One of those areas is in the arena of membership cards. I wanted to update you on that. As a subscribing member, you are to receive a membership card that accesses perks from local vendors. We are working on our participating vendors (and if you are in a position to give a discount to members for presentation of the card, please reach out!). We intend to get the physical cards to you by the end of the year and we will continue to add to the perk network over time. We have also not yet begun monthly giveaways. This may be something that waits until the football offseason, but it is something that we want to do and we will do it in the upcoming months. Finally, to our $50 and $100 members, please let us know if you are able to join us for a tailgate for either of the two remaining games, and we can provide details for that. $100 members, we will be reaching out to you to arrange pre-game field access at one of the remaining games.

One final reminder. Your subscriptions here are not tax deductible as it is run by a for-profit arm of the collective. If, however, you are interested in making a tax-deductible contribution before years end, you may still do so by clicking the “donate now” button on the website, or you can reach out to Michael or I to discuss your gift options. Donations to the non-profit continue to trigger tax benefits.

Thank you once again for all that you do. It takes all of us to continue the unprecedented run of success we are having and we cannot thank all of you enough for taking the lead in powering the Wave to success.
