I do appreciate this interview, it was outstanding. I think there is a special connection between Tulane and Ole Miss stretching back to pre-SEC days. Personally, the first Tulane game I attended was against Ole Miss in the Superdome in 1983 - a game Tulane won in astonishing fashion, but subsequently had to forfeit because our starting quarterback hadn’t sat out a full season after transferring from Iowa State and the NCAA didn’t want students transferring colleges “just to play football.” I attended the Ole Miss game in Yulman 40 years later in ‘23, and the hotel I stayed in was full of Ole Miss parents and fans (including proud Ole Miss parents of current Tulane students) and folks could…
