Tulane Football Recruiting Roundup, August 21, 2024

The 2024 season has not yet kicked off, but recruiting (almost) never stops. The Green Wave are in pursuit of a number of exciting high school prospects, as they look to build the rosters of 2025 and beyond.

A quick note before we proceed. As a reminder, this site is entirely volunteer-run. Your subscription dollars do not and will never go into my pocket, Jimmy's, Michael's, etc. Unlike other paywall services out there, we are not at all interested in enriching ourselves. Your dollars go directly into NIL deals with our student-athletes, and directly support the programs we all love, as a result. Therefore, any reposting or repurposing of this information, in any format, will not be tolerated. Our shared goal should be for the program to succeed, and nothing else. Releasing potentially sensitive information beyond those who do not subscribe to/support the collective does not further that goal.

I spoke to a high level source, today, who was able to share some specifics on who the Wave are targeting. We expect to have a visitor list for next Thursday's home opener against Southeastern by gameday. Before we dive into those who are not (yet) committed to Tulane, this source expressed excitement a wide variety of the current projected members of the class of 2025. I'll discuss two in particular, here; Antwaun Parham and Cameron Roberts, two current Green Wave commits who are likely to draw strong interest from others, so holding them and signing them will be both difficult and important.

Parham is a 6'3" receiver from Pompano Beach, Florida, who maintains other offers from Coastal Carolina and Western Michigan, among others. Expect that to change as his senior season of high school kicks off.

Roberts, on the other hand, is a 6'4", 215 pound tight end from St. Thomas Aquinas, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. His current offer sheet includes Indiana, Florida International, Western Kentucky, Western Michigan, Temple, Marshall, and Bowling Green, among others.

While Lutcher edge rusher Reshad Sterling is presently committed to Houston, I do not get the sense that it's a done-deal. Expect the Green Wave to remain in the mix as December/February approach. Sterling also has been offered by LSU, Vanderbilt, UCF, Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana Tech.

Javin Gordon, of Toccoa County, Georgia, is the 93rd ranked running back by 247 in the class of 2025. Presently, he is committed to Duke, but Tulane remains interested and on his heels. He holds offers from West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wake Forest, Troy, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Liberty, Northwestern, Western Kentucky, USF, and Navy, among others, including Tulane.

Lionel Prudhomme, an interior offensive lineman from Shreveport, Louisiana, is presently committed to Arkansas. He reportedly chose Arkansas over Ole Miss, Tulane, Missouri, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Houston, Texas Tech, and Arizona State, among others. Per 247, he is the 26th highest rated player in the State of Louisiana in the class of 2025. My source did not indicate this, but it stands to reason, at least to me, that if year 5 of the Sam Pittman regime doesn't go well for the Razorbacks, Prudhomme and Bell (see below) could rethink their decisions. Tulane remains interested in both players.

Caleb Bell, as alluded to, is also presently committed to Arkansas. The interior defensive lineman just picked up an offer over the weekend from Texas, in addition to offers he already held from NC State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Missouri, SMU, Mississippi State, Louisville, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, and Indiana, among others. He hails from Alpharetta, Georgia, and is the 61st highest rated interior defensive lineman in the country, according to 247.

Lastly, there is a defensive-back, currently committed to a different SEC school, who the Green Wave staff are very much in the mix with. The hope is that he will attend one of the Wave's first several home games, to get a feel for what a gameday environment uptown really feels like. I have not been authorized to disclose this young man's identity, but if he flips, it would be quite the accomplishment for this staff.
